Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using DNS Doctors. Last updated January 2025.

These terms apply when you use DNS Doctors (the website, tools, and services). We've kept them short and readable on purpose — we're not pretending to be lawyers. If something here doesn't make sense, email us and we'll explain.

The service

DNS Doctors provides DNS monitoring, auditing, and managed fix services for email deliverability and domain security. This includes free tools (like the DMARC checker), self-serve monitoring subscriptions, and white-glove managed plans.

Service provided as-is

We do our best to provide accurate DNS analysis and recommendations, but DNS is complex and configurations vary across providers. We provide the service "as is" without guarantees that our recommendations will solve every deliverability issue. We're a diagnostic and fixing tool — not an insurance policy.

Limitation of liability

DNS Doctors is not liable for email delivery failures, domain security incidents, or any damages arising from the use of our service or recommendations. Our maximum liability is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Billing and payments

All plans — self-serve and managed — are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel anytime, and your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial months.

Acceptable use

Use DNS Doctors for legitimate DNS monitoring and improvement. Don't use our tools to probe or attack domains you don't own or have authorization to manage. Don't attempt to overload our systems with automated bulk requests beyond normal use. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.

DNS access

Free tools and self-serve monitoring are read-only — we query public DNS records and don't require access to your DNS provider. For managed plans, we connect through your DNS provider's API to apply changes on an ongoing basis. You approve each change before we make it, and you can revoke access at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post changes on this page and update the "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
